The Intention behind Flex Yoga is to reinforce the belief that Yoga can be for everyone and in order to do so it must be accessible…flexible, while meeting the unique needs of others through mind and body.

Welcome! My name is Aisha… I’m honored to have the opportunity to share the gift of Yoga with you. For me, Yoga has provided me the opportunity to explore aspects of my true self that I do not think I would have had the courage or insight to explore without it. Yoga has enhanced my life in a physical and emotional way. Because of Yoga, I experience my body in a more a full way; I hear, feel, listen to, and treat my body in a more intentional way.

As a professional licensed social worker, the way in which I teach yoga is much more enhanced. Bringing elements of a trauma-informed yoga practice, while proudly advocating for those who are discouraged from participating in social experiences, like group yoga classes because of how they are perceived by society. Too many times I’ve heard people say…

“Yoga isn’t for me. I’m not flexible. I’m not young anymore. I’m a dude. I’m not thin. I’m too big. I can’t keep up. It’s too Indulgent-I have kids.”

My desire is to help you feel some relief from what may be holding you back from fully embracing all the beautiful, dynamic aspects of life that will help you feel your best.

I believe that Yoga can help. If you’re not convinced, that’s okay. At first, I wasn’t either but in 2013, I listened to a kind friend, re-opened my mind and became awake to endless possibilities. I invite you to explore Yoga in your own time and when you’re ready, I would be honored to serve as a helpful guide along the path of your Yoga journey.

Be well.
